Help Pack for the Weekend Backpack Program May 6 @ 3pm
The weekend backpack program provides discreet, weekend food to kids in need every week at WDC schools. We are filling backpacks on Thursday, May 6 at 3pm in the elementary cafeteria. All are welcome. Wear a mask.
Frozen Meals Available May 6, 1-2pm
Catholic Charities is holding their monthly food drop in Immanuel’s lot from 1-2pm on Thursday, May 6. Seniors 60+ can receive up to 30 FREE meals. A simple, one-time registration (name, address, DOB), gives you access to these monthly meals.
We are going to adorn the sanctuary with red geraniums Memorial weekend, May 30. If you would like to sponsor a flower in honor or memory of a loved one, or simply as a gift, they are $5/plant. After May 30th, the flowers will be planted to add color to our grounds throughout the summer. Call the church office (631-2738), email email@example.com, or visit (http://bit.ly/ilcflowers) to sign up.
We’re Retooling our Prayer List
In an effort to keep a more timely and accessible prayer list, we’re making some changes. Starting June 1, we will send our prayer list in this weekly email and will post the prayer list on our website. We’re also changing our prayer list so that a prayer request will be added to our Sunday prayers for 4 weeks, unless a request to remove comes sooner. Of course, you or your loved one can continue to be on our prayer list as long as you would like, but you would need to “renew” that request every four weeks. Military prayers will remain on the list for six months, unless a request to remove comes sooner. Email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call (631-2738) the church office with prayer requests. Or fill out this form: https://www.wadenaimmanuel.org/prayerrequest
Screeners and Ushers Needed
In order to offer in-person worship, we need volunteers. If you are willing to serve as a Sunday screener or usher, email Pastor Nate (email@example.com).
Facebook Campus is Launched
We’ve launched a new community via Facebook. And we’d love to have you join us. This will be a safe space to discuss matters of faith with one another. We have several groups launched already. Go to our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/immanuelwadena) and click on the groups tab. Simply request to join the groups that interest you. And start forming community. This isn’t meant to replace in-person gatherings. But at a time when we can’t always safely meet in person, our Facebook community will provide another way to connect.
Fair Trade Coffee is Available
Selling coffee on Sunday mornings isn't a great idea right now, but your favorite fair trade items are still available during the week. We've set up a display in the kitchen with prices marked. Stop by the church building during the week and pick up anything you'd like. Fair trade coffee, tea, and chocolate make great Christmas gifts too! Make checks payable to Immanuel Church Women" and put "Fair Trade" in the memo line. You can drop off checks in the church office. Thanks for helping support small scale farmers around the globe!
Thank You for Your Continued Generosity
We are so overwhelmed at the generosity of all of you at this critical time for our ministry. Your financial gifts are ensuring that ministry continues at Immanuel even during this pandemic. Gifts can be dropped off at the church, mailed to PO Box 69. Or visit www.wadenaimmanuel.org/giving-1 to explore e-giving.
As our life gradually begins to open up, wearing a mask while out in public is a great way to serve your neighbor. Pam Nelson has put some masks she’s sewn up at church in both adult and youth sizes. Stop by the church (the building is open 8:30am-7pm) and pick up what you need. Thanks, Pam!
Join our ILC Wadena Remind Group
To help our communication, we’re launching a new Remind group for adults called, “ILC Congregation.” It will be a way to efficiently deliver timely news about the congregation, including information about Zoom meetings specifically for adults. Join by texting @76gk3e to 81010 or click on this link to join instantly: http://www.remind.com/join/76gk3e

Need a Hymnal?
If you would like to check out a hymnal or other worship materials to help you better engage with the radio broadcast, stop by the church and sign stuff out. There’s a table right outside the sanctuary. If you need these items delivered to you, call the church office (631-2738)
