If you have musical gifts, we want to put them to work in worship! Here are several ways to be involved:
Join the Choir. Immanuel has a long tradition of choir music. The choir sings in worship twice each month and rehearses every Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Choir is open to adults and confirmed youth. Talk to Deb Haraldson to learn more about this ministry.
Be Part of the Praise Band. The second service on the second Sunday uses more contemporary praise music. We are always looking for singers, guitarists, bass players, and percussionists. If you would like to be part of the team, talk to Mitchell Ganske.
FOLK SERVICE (BLUEGRASS/GOSPEL)
Play or sing with the Folk Service. On the third Sunday of the month, we often use an order of service we call the Folk Service. If you like bluegrass/gospel music, this is the service for you. In 2015-2016, this service will be used in September, November, January, April, June, July and August. Talk to Pastor Nate if you would like to help with this service.
Help with our Jazz Service
On the first Sunday of every month, we use a liturgy called, “One Body Alive,” by Jay Beech. We have musical accompaniments for various instruments, including percussion. Talk to Pastor Nate or to help with this service.
Offer Special Music
We welcome the sharing of musical gifts in the form of special music throughout the year. All skill levels are welcome to share thoughtfully prepared and worship appropriate music. If you have a gift to share, talk to Pastor Nate.
